“Hipster Traps” Being Left Around New York City

September 21, 2012

Holy fartnoodles, this is funny:

You almost don’t need the caption:

Jeff Greenspan and Hunter Fine have been installing “Hipster Traps” around New York City which include sunglasses, a yellow bicycle chain, a Holga camera, a can of PBR and a pack of American Spirits as bait. Jeff is the same artist who came up with the idea for last Summer’s Improv Everywhere prank “The Tourist Lane”. Next up: Bridge & Tunnel Traps.

Throwing a rock at a bear trap could work. It might have to be a largish rock, depending on how sensitive the trap was set, but…

I can’t see that working. I mean, throwing a rock at a bear trap may work in cartoons, but I don’t think it would work in real life. Why are they trying to catch hipsters, anyway?
