Separated at Birth: Gary Oldman and Eli Wallach

November 10, 2010

There’s a story on NPR today about the actor Eli Wallach, whom you probably know from several films, primarily Westerns, including Sergio Leone’s 1966 classic, The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly, with Clint Eastwood. Here’s an image of him from that film:

Mr. Wallach is receiving an honorary Oscar this Saturday, the story says, and congratulations to him. But now to the point of this post: In doing a little research on Wallach this morning, I found a photo of him on Wikimedia Commons, from the 1956 film Baby Doll.

Does Eli Wallach look like Gary Oldman in this photo, or what? (And have you ever seen them together? Hmmm?)

So, you get what we’re saying then! Exactly!

And I should have noted that separated at birth would have required a time machine. But anyhoo…

Different noses, but pfft, that can easily be explained by plastic surgery. This IS Hollywood. Otherwise, wowowowowow, you’re right, they look creepily similar.

Not really. Wallach’s face is a lot skinnier.

if you look at a picture of Gary from around 2009, like on “Air Force One”, his face is just as thin. they could at least be related with the similar facial structures! look at

A mutual friend sent me the link to website. Definitely worth my time! I like how you really concentrate and get to the point but can you go over that last part again? Just a bit? –Rachel
